ABOUT COPPATREK! WITH GI - ICELAND ALUMNI
Over the years CoppaFeel! participants have taken part in some of the most incredible challenges, both overseas and in the UK, raising millions of pounds in the process. To celebrate everything that you have achieved over the years we are putting on this exclusive Overseas Alumni challenge for everyone who has taken part in one of our previous Multi-day CoppaTreks!
This July we’re heading back to Iceland! We’ll be setting out on a challenging, extraordinary and life-changing trek, all in the name of checking chests! About coppafeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives and a gift to CoppaFeel! can save many.
A message from Gi Fletcher
“There’s a remarkable thing that happens when you put a bunch of strangers like this together in a new environment and set them a challenge. I simply love watching the bonds formed, seeing the trekkers encourage and support each other and the way fears are broken and a new confidence built. The fact they all do this in the name of CoppaFeel! is humbling. They walk so that one day another person will one day be trekking with CoppaFeel!, saying how doing these things has saved their life.”
